Description

This position reports to VP/IT Officer.

Basic Function 

The Network Administrator is responsible for performing technical work, installing, operating and providing support for users, local and wide-area networks, servers, core banking (Fiserv) and the VoIP phone system. Responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise-wide technology initiatives and training users on network operations. Provides end-to-end network support for multiple locations, supporting local and remote users.

Essential Duties

  • Install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot network software and business applications
  • Provide support for routine network administration and problem resolution
  • Identify problems, research, isolates, resolves and follows up on user issues and problems
  • In conjunction with Managed Service Provider, own Help Desk Level 1 and Level 2 to ensure timely completion of technology requests while providing guidance
  • Performs remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Directs unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel as needed
  • Record, track and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Collaborate with internal business partners, external engineering teams and other technology professionals to deliver a high level of internal/external customer service and “value”
  • Provide support for Windows applications, network connectivity, remote access, Intranet, email, user administration, VoIP phone system, network printing, faxing, and any other hardware/software issues
  • Provide system administration including, Microsoft Active Directory, Office365, VoIP, MFA, MDM and other cloud-based systems
  • Design, plan, develop and implement solutions within the Microsoft Office 365 portfolio primarily, but not limited to, SharePoint Online, Teams, One Drive, Azure AD, Power Automate/Flow, and Power Apps
  • Provide end-user support for all SharePoint based applications and services
  • Management of Office 365 email users, distributions lists, data retention policies, email & data security and email routing
  • Provide support to and trains users in local area network administration and system usage
  • Perform routine security audits & other external compliance audits for all provisioned user accounts
  • Assist in maintaining the bank’s hardware and software inventory
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by Management
  • Perform hands-on fixes, including software/hardware installs, upgrades and configuring systems and applications
  • Responsible for onboarding, moves, adds and changes of network PCs and peripherals
  • Complete/review all Change Management Requests and maintaining the Change Management log
  • Provide after hours, weekend, and on-call support on an as needed basis outside of general working hours
  • Ability to drive between locations as required
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by Management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Training & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year, accredited institution OR minimum of 8 years of systems administration
  • 4 years’ experience with Microsoft Windows client and server administration and Active Directory
  • 4 years’ experience Microsoft Office
  • 365 administration experience
  • Current industry certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft, VMWare, ITIL, etc.)
  • Desktop and server systems, implementation, management, and architecture (including but not limited to Cisco Meraki, Azure etc.)
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft cloud-based services, including Azure, active directory, Office 365, Intune, SharePoint.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining the following: Group Policy, PowerShell, VMWare, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, DKIM, SPF, DMARC, VPN and AD
  • Working knowledge of the VMWare and related virtual server technologies
  • Must be able to teach yourself new technologies and be an expert in using search engines, chat rooms, forums, etc. to find solutions
  • Capable of some minor scripting highly desirable
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • (Optional but desired) Experience with compliance, audits, financial or banking industry
  • (Optional but desired) Cisco Phone systems
  • (Optional but desired) Detailed knowledge of SharePoint design, concepts and administration
