This hourly (non-exempt) position is the lead sales and service banker within the branch and builds strong client relationships for the bank. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales:Actively participate in growing, serving and retaining the branch customer portfolioAs a lead banker, engage in sales activities in the areas of: Mortgages, Home Equity loans and Deposit products with customers in person and over the phonePartner with other areas of the bank to promote: Business Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury Management and Merchant servicesProactively contact clients to review and deepen their banking relationship as well as uncover and recommend additional products and servicesMay participate in local community events to increase branch awarenessMeet or exceed assigned sales goalsService:Consistently meet bank customer service standards and set a sound example in the branchAs a Senior Banker, lead in all servicing aspects of Personal Banking, including Mortgages and Retail Loans, IRAs, Trust Accounts, Estates and Commercial AccountsAct as an expert in all First American Bank systemsParticipate in advanced phone queues to handle complex issuesAssist teller line by resolving problems and act as a teller as needed Adhere to all written policies and procedures. This includes policies of both the teller and personal banking departments. May be responsible for opening and closing the branch as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School degree or equivalent.

College degree in business or related field a plus.

Successful completion of First American Bank’s Customer Experience Certification curriculum and Customer Service Training program required.

This position requires the individual to take loan applications and close loans. 

This position may require the employee to register and maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS).

Minimum of 2 years personal banking experience required.Proven track record of sales and customer service experience required.Experience with consumer and mortgage lending preferred.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and confidence when speaking with internal and external customers.Familiarity with word processing programs preferred. Knowledge of spreadsheets and bank systems a plus.Travel within the bank's footprint, to assist other branches or attend meetings, training and seminars as scheduled.Branch locations are open for business 6 days each week, Monday through Saturday.

Scheduling may vary. Must be available to work all hours of bank operation.
