About the role

FireHydrant is excited to be hiring a Frontend Engineer to support our growing Foundations team which is responsible for building and maintaining core functionality within our application including our Billing, Entitlements and Authentication services. You’ll work with a variety of technologies as you design, build, and ship our rapidly expanding product. As an early member of our team, you’ll get to lay the groundwork for future product innovation and scaling capabilities.

We’re looking for people with a strong background or interest in building developer-focused products, care deeply about security and customer trust, and are comfortable learning new skills that will deliver value to our customers.

The work you’ll do

• Continue to build upon our billing, user management, and entitlements systems ensuring new and existing customers have access to all they need to be successful within our application
• Write scalable single page applications to effectively display dense information along with tests to ensure it works well
• Partner with Design engineering and other developers to create more effective UX patterns to simplify cognitive load on users
• Continue to improve our monitoring for our frontend application, working with the SRE team

We're looking for someone who

• Has experience with React and Redux-- bonus for Ruby on Rails experience
• Takes ownership of a project from concept to production, including ensuring the quality and performance of your work
• Has demonstrated track record of shipping products with a full-stack team
• Can pick the right technologies for the job, and can learn the right technologies when they need
• Enjoys working with, mentoring, and learning from a diverse group of people
• Has an eye for quality and testing, as well as user experience to ensure our customers can focus on mitigating their incidents

Compensation

FireHydrant believes that everyone should be compensated fairly and we strive for transparency within our organization and the industry. We set our salaries at the 75th percentile based on compensation data from hundreds of companies at our stage and everyone in a given role is paid the same without adjusting for the locality. The comp for this role is $165,000 (SWE III) or $190,000 (Senior) depending on leveling.
