We are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join our organization as a key member of the finance team responsible for monthly, annual and interim financial reporting along with the overall financial controls for the company. The incumbent develops, analyzes and interprets statistical and accounting information to appraise profitability, performance against budget and forecasts. The position is expected to work hybrid onsite and remote as needed to fulfill the scope of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reporting and analyzing operating profitability, cash flow and statements of financial position of the business.
  • Directs the preparation and analysis of supplemental financial management reports.
  • Respond to corporate and divisional requests for information, reports and metrics.
  • Ensures that policies and procedures are in accordance with corporate guidelines and generally accepted accounting principles and SOX, including proper internal controls and monthly reconciliation of accounts.
  • Coordinates the audit of the company with the outside CPA firm.
  • Evaluate and oversee real estate and equipment lease agreements.
  • Provides financial support for the other functional departments.
  • Prepares and/or reviews capital expenditure proposals and tracks project progress.
  • Assist with other Finance department functions as needed including inventory and cost accounting, fixed assets, and cash receipts and disbursement related processes.
  • Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA/CMA preferred
  • 3 to 5 years in finance
  • Experience in a SOX environment
  • Manufacturing background; experience with foreign operations is helpful
  • Analytical thinking skills; detail oriented; ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office including advanced Excel functions, computerized accounting environment; JD Edwards (World) experience is helpful
