At Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) we are in search of an accomplished Senior Systems Analyst to join a dynamic squad dedicated to the expansion of our Managed Account product line. In this role, the ideal candidate will engage in close collaboration with architecture, developers, squad leadership, operations, and business partners, actively contributing to the modernized expansion of our technology landscape and enhancing operational efficiencies. Your primary responsibility will involve spearheading the system design of intricate software applications, ensuring they not only meet the highest standards but also align seamlessly with our organizational norms.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
  • 5-7 years of total engineering-related and systems analysis experience
  • Moderate to advanced analysis of end-to-end processes and capabilities within a Web application environment, leveraging tools and techniques for presenting and analyzing data including, Rest API technologies, SQL, Spring Boot, JSON, Java, using tools such as Postman/Insomnia and SQL developer
  • Cloud-based technology knowledge and experience, ideally AWS
  • Proven experience with effective solution design of new systems based on requirements
  • Proven experience in system assessments methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, system diagrams, story writing, story mapping, testing, and product documentation
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders
  • A self-starter and integral team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimal supervision
  • A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn the Managed Account business and build subject matter expertise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely, and impactfully to influence others
  • Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguous circumstances, identify and help drive key decisions and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and development
  • Able to understand the technology and software architecture of an application
  • Experience and or proven ability to work across multiple teams to successfully lead and negotiate strategic designs and dependencies
  • Excellent planning, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work in an Agile environment is expected, along with proficient use of tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, JIRAAlign).
  • Experience within the financial services industry (Brokerage & Managed Accounts) is a plus

As a vital member of this dynamic team, your role within FIT will focus on providing robust systems analysis support for the high-paced Managed & Advisory Solutions team. Your contributions will extend beyond routine tasks, as you become a driving force in solving complex business challenges for our clients. Wearing multiple hats, you will orchestrate the coordination of development, spearhead solution design, and proactively embrace emerging technologies to enhance existing processes. Throughout, your keen analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and alignment of outputs with defined requirements, making a substantial impact on our organization.
