Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Shift Manager in our Front Royal, VA Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you! Hours: Assigned shift TBD Responsibilities You will be responsible for the workload planning, production, and execution of a fast-paced operation in a building of over 650,000 sq ft., leading a team of 50-75 hourly associates and salaried leaders, including the leadership and development of salaried leaders. Coordinate and ensure all safety and regulatory compliance in a proactive and positive manner Directly oversee daily shift operations to include selection, shipping, receiving, cross docking and trailer loading operations Establish weekly operations plans to ensure all customer volume is processed in a timely manner Manage and lead associates effectively and create an engaged, satisfied and high performing team Run DCs quality functions: supervise internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop new quality initiatives; implement standard methodologies. Data driven decision making Workload planning is balanced to reach budget and production goals Lead all aspects of inventory control in our warehouse and overall quality program to meet daily levels of service and perfect order metrics Will be dedicated to a specific shift and occasionally work cross-functionally across other shifts over a 24-hour shift operation Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following: Bachelor’s Degree preferred 5 years’ management experience in supply chain distribution WMS and LMS experience required Availability and flexibility to occasionally work on other shifts based on business needs Proven effective leadership and interpersonal skills Good judgment and decision-making abilities A proven understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations and compliance A willingness to learn and being able to go above and beyond is a must Ferguson is dedicated to providing meaningful benefits programs and products to our associates and their families—geared toward benefits, wellness, financial protection, and retirement savings.
