DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER: Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions.

Position Overview: The Controller at Feeser's Food Distributors is a leadership role in the Finance Department and is responsible for managing financial activities, reporting, and compliance. Additionally, this role will provide guidance and leadership to the HR Manager, Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, and Finance/Budgeting Analyst. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, proven experience in financial management, and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Management:

- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.

· Financial Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Present financial results to executive leadership.

· Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor the annual budget.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasting models to support decision-making.

· HR Leadership:

- Provide oversight and leadership to the HR Manager, contributing to human resources strategies, policies, and procedures.

- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and support workforce development and management.

· Risk Management:

- Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

· Team Leadership:

- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals and HR staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Provide guidance and support to optimize team performance.

· Cost Analysis:

- Analyze cost structures, pricing strategies, and profit margins.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and profit enhancement.

· Cash Flow Management:

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability.

- Provide recommendations to optimize cash management.

· Audit and Taxation:

- Coordinate external audits and work closely with auditors.

- Manage tax compliance and liaise with tax advisors.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.

· Significant experience (10 years) in financial management or controller roles within the wholesale distribution or related industry, including HR oversight.

· Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of accounting principles.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create complex financial models, pivot tables, and data analysis.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

· Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
