POSITION TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER (IT)

DEPARTMENT: BISD - SDC - PROJECT / RESOURCE MANAGMENT & COMMUNICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent experience required, acquisition of advanced degree in the IT or business field preferred
• 10 years of related experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct project management experience
• Ability to lead/influence and communicate with all levels of management
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to optimally communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience knowledge of structured methodologies in the software development life cycle
• Proficiency in Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies required
• Experience in managing project management software systems
• PMI/PMP certification preferred

MAJOR DUTIES

• In collaboration with IT senior management, provide direction for IT project management function.
• Guides the IT governance processes for the portfolio governance function to ensure proper stewardship of resources.
• Leads the development, utilization, and enhancement of IT Project Management and IT Governance standards and best practices for the Information Technology Division.
• Create flexible processes to adapt to various project management types (e.g. agile, waterfall etc.) as well as the differing nature of projects (e.g. pilot/evaluations vs enterprise implementations).
• Continue to enhance and streamline the formal project management model.
• Guide Project Managers on defining scope and objectives for long/short -term projects or sub-projects.
• Assist BISD Managers with detailed project plans and monitors progress compared to plan.
• Direct project managers in coordinating all aspects of a project, developing project budgets, scopes of work concept development, and design processes.
• Provide guidelines for applying Project Management practices.
• Ensure monthly project status reports are provided across the different IT governance groups to illuminate the health of all projects in-flight.
• Establishes positive partnerships with internal customers and effectively manages these relationships.
• Solicits advice, support, championship, sponsorship, and commitment for the success of PMO initiatives.
• Builds and maintains support from key stakeholders in the enterprise to evolve and advance the PMO

HOURS/LOCATION:

• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
• Federated Investors Warrendale, PA (15086) / Hybrid (Office/Remote)
