Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis is Hiring a Treasury Analyst Near Indianapolis, IN

*Position includes a hybrid work schedule. Purpose: The position will assist in monitoring the Bank’s daily liquidity, reporting as well as managing the Bank’s liquidity via the issuance of discount note. The position will also assist in enhancing liquidity controls and other ad hoc analysis for the Treasury Team. Responsibilities also include requesting and compiling reports to Capital Markets Committee and the Finance/Budget Committee. The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work. Being performed by persons assigned to the job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities or abilities required of persons so classified. The Bank reserves the right to alter or amend this description at any time. Specific Responsibilities: Manage short-term funding requirements through the issuance of agency discount notes. Manage daily liquidity reporting by pulling down daily liquidity report, running liquidity reconciliation and uploading the Bank’s liquidity position to the FHFA. Monitoring daily the Bank’s early warning signals and counterparty risk. Notify Treasury and the Investment Team members of upcoming committee meetings. Reach out to team members if reports are not received on timely basis, and compile the reports for the Capital Markets Committee and the Finance/Budget Committee. Price short-term advances (<1-year) in a timely manner for the Advances Team. Monitor and manage bank liquidity and leverage functions, including assistance with bank regulatory liquidity reporting, compliance activities, and gap analysis. Support operation functions of derivatives collateral and counterparty analysis. Monitor aspects of money market product pricing, including Treasury and Agency Discount Notes Develop models and reports using Calypso, Bloomberg, Business Objects, and other related systems for Treasury and senior management. Research and monitor the capital markets and identify trends in interest rates, spreads, volatility, and other market factors that can contribute to market opportunities for the Bank Prepare reports for Capital Markets management related to the monitoring of the funding, derivatives, and investment portfolios. Assist with trade processing control performance and workflow enhancements Analyzes issues effectively. Works with management to achieve goals. Communicates and interacts effectively with peers and supervisors. Deals appropriately with the public. Ability to problem-solve effectively. Position Requirements: BS with concentration in business, economics, accounting, or finance. This position is entry-level. Prefer candidate with relevant internship or work experience. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including excel, power point, access and word. Experience with Bloomberg, PolyPaths, and or Calypso preferred. Ability to make decisions in unprecedented situations and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Must not have been convicted on any civil or criminal charge that would suggest a risk to Bank security. Ability to work full time. FHLBank Indianapolis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
