Location: Quantico, Virginia (No public transportation) This position has been selected for relocation to Huntsville, Alabama in 2027 or 2028

Working Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Salary: GS-13: $112,015.00 - $145,617.00

Full Performance level: GS-13

Key Requirements

• Travel of approximately 5% to field offices, off-site facilities, and manufacturer sponsored training is required.

Mission Statement:

Major Duties:

• Develops all technical course lesson plans, course evaluation examinations, and practical application laboratory presentations and prepares or reviews all student evaluations.
• Delivers highly technical course material in a controlled classroom environment and is responsible for the procurement, design, and installation of practical application laboratories, classroom supplies, and instructional materials.
• Determines course objectives, specific course requirements including theory presentation, lab exercise, and student evaluation criteria in accordance with the FBI's training requirements.
• Designs courses for the career development of FBI, DOJ, and other government agency employees.
• Provides technical assistance to field ETs, TTAs, or other field technical personnel; conducts unique and complex engineering assignments; designs applications for adoption to the FBI's technical communication systems and equipment.

Specialized Experience (SE):

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

• Experience in the standards, procedures, and policies acquired as an FBI Electronics Technician for installation and maintenance of one of the three Electronics Techniciain system disciplines, which are Radio, Network, and Security systems.
• Experience communicating through written, oral and electroncs formats.
• Experience performing basic training and monitoring of technical systems and equipment.
• Experience providing technical customer service within a field office environment.
