FCHC Urgent Care

Full-time

72 hours per pay bi-weekly

1st / 2nd Shift hours

Escorts or assists patient to assigned room.

Takes and records patient vital signs.

Prepares patient for and assists with examinations.

Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions, interprets Physician's instructions to patients, assists with emergency and minor surgery, and performs related tasks as directed.

Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient.

Answers incoming telephone calls as needed.

Assesses and assists patients (in person or on phone) with questions concerning medical conditions, medicine refills, testing results; advising necessity of appointment when appropriate.

Communicates with hospitals, nursing homes, health care services, schools; coordinating patient care with physician orders.

Adherence to be compliant with all applicable laws and the FCHC Policies and Procedures required in Health Stream and Policy Manager.

Inventories and maintains stock of medication and supplies.

Cleans equipment prior to sending to central supply to be sterilized.

Collects samples of urine and feces from patients, performing appropriate testing. Instructs patient on home testing if needed.

Cleans patient’s rooms as needed between visits.

Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards.

Assists clerical staff with pre-certification of test such as MRI, CT Scans, etc when clinical information is 

needed.

Precertification of medications.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio with current license.
