Position Summary:

This role will ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Accounts Payable department.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Manages and supervises the accounts payable department.
• Manage and Maintain purchase order system.
• Audit invoices and check request for compliance with company purchasing and approval policies.
• Review and processing of invoices (high volume).
• Monitor company invoice e-mail.
• PO and Non-PO Processing.
• Intercompany transactions.
• Manage daily accounts payable procedures ensuring company policies are followed.
• Setup and maintain vendor records ensuring the necessary tax documents have been received and filed.
• Reviews vendor correspondence and reconciles vendor statements.
• Receive, research, and resolve routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status.
• Ensure timely and accurately filing of 1099 forms and related reports following Federal guidelines.
• Standardize procedure to generate efficiency.
• Assist with month-end closing task, including monthly expense accruals.
• Produce journal entries for month end close.
• Posting of accruals and allocations.
• Generating ad hoc Reports for management.
• Back up for various functions and areas in the Accounting Department.
• Special projects as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in accounting preferred.

Experience and Competencies:

• Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, lookups, formulas).
• PO and Non-PO Processing Experience.
• SAP, Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
• Substantial AP system experience.
• 1099 Filing experience and set up.
• Strong analytical and time management skills.
• Ability to follow standard procedures.
• Well planned, organized with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter and strong ethical standards.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
