Role Summary

Weare looking for an outgoing and driven Customer Engagement Specialist to joinus at our head office in Brisbane, Australia. You'll be responsible forreaching out to new potential SMB customers to drive adoption and ensurepotential customers are well equipped to start using Fathom successfully. Youwill also be responsible for setting up customers for immediate success byproviding excellent onboarding experiences.
As Fathom continues to grow, this role has the opportunity for advancement andfurther growth into Sales/BD, Customer Success, or AccountManagement.
What you'll do

  • You will focus on engaging new potential SMB customers, establishing Fathom's fit for the customer, and ensuring a seamless first experience.
  • Reach out to warm leads and potential customers who have expressed interest in Fathom through our free trial or on our website. Outreach will be primarily via phone calls and emails.
  • Engage and qualify potential customers to understand their needs and use-case, provide solutions, and ultimately help them determine if Fathom is the right solution for their needs.
  • Onboard new customers or introduce them to a team member for onboarding.
  • Provide product demonstrations (virtual and in-person) to potential customers.
  • Record key information in our CRM to ensure we have access to accurate and reliable data.

Who you are

  • You are an excellent written and verbal communicator who can easily adjust your communication based on the person you're talking to or the situation you're in
  • You are genuinely curious and enjoy helping others to solve business problems
  • You have a track record of challenging yourself and learning new things
  • You are a highly self-sufficient and work well in a team setting
  • You are excited about technology, SaaS or FinTech

Your experience/education

  • Strong academic background (Bachelor's degree preferred, but not essential)
  • 1-2 years experience in a customer-facing role

Nice-to-haves

  • You have an accounting or finance background/education
  • You have worked in a software/IT organisation
  • You have worked in a sales, customer success or account management role
