Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by performing various accounting tasks, including data entry, accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently. They will also have excellent communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have experience with accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post payments received from customers
• Review and reconcile accounts receivable records
• Follow up on past-due invoices and communicate with customers regarding payment
• Respond to inquiries from customers and internal departments regarding billing and payment
• Prepare and distribute monthly statements and reports
• Assist with month-end closing procedures
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or errors related to billing or payment
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accuracy in invoicing and collections
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and billing information
• Assist with other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and accounting practices
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting is a plus
