Shift: Graveyard 10:30 pm -7:00 am

Purpose of This Position

Responsible for operating equipment at maximum machine efficiency, generating highest part quality and performing general machine predictive maintenance based on safety and best practices in the steel service industry. 

Major Duties

1. Efficient operation of numerically controlled cutting machine through challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of the material consumed. Ensuring quality and customer expectations are met on every order.
2. Confirm order requirements are met, including the proper selection of job priority, material, gas flows, speed, and program loading.
3. Enhance customer satisfaction by improving product quality through validation of machine positioning, program accuracy and inspection of edge quality. 
4. OXY and High Definition Plasma 
5. First part inspection on all production runs to specified tolerances and dimensional check.
6. Increase process flow and delivery response by assisting in cutting scrap, removing rems, assisting in crane operating and part processing.
7. Perform regular predictive maintenance of the equipment to ensure maximum up-time.
8. Participate in ensuring a safe work environment through best practices including promoting of all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, maintenance of a 5S work station.
9.  Fill out necessary forms and paperwork, including routing sheets, time cards, production reports, etc.
10. Handle material with use of overhead crane and forklift.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Able to read Standard English and micrometers and calipers a plus.
