Summary of Position:
The Marketing Associate is responsible for activities related to Marketing for the corporation, including the creation of print and digital assets (including website updates and maintenance). This person will assist in strategic marketing plans, including working with leadership to (a) increase brand awareness; (b) develop and maintain social media accounts and (c) create digital and other content to support sales, human resources and other departments of the corporation.
Job Goals
- Increase brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain social media accounts and content.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate marketing activities with sales, human resources, financial, customer service and production departments.
- Develop brand content for use across marketing channels.
- Update and maintain the company’s website.
- Develop and create blog content for company’s website and social media.
- Develop social media content calendar; execute social media across platforms.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled or working towards Marketing or Strategic Communications degree
- 1 - 3 years marketing experience (specifically content creation, basic graphic design skills, web and social media development)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
