Farmers Insurance District 08/77 is Hiring an Operations Coordinator Near Kansas City, MO

Job Description


The Farmers KCMO District Office is dedicated to growing the Farmers Insurance footprint in the Kansas City Metro area and is looking for an Operations Specialist to join the team. We recruit and train new Agency Owners and agency team members, while also providing support and coaching for the 41 existing Agency Owners in the district. We are a close knit small business, with the goal to create a collaborative work environment where our team members feel valued, appreciated and their hard work creates a fulfilling career path. 

Operations Specialist Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities for improvement or revision.
  • Creates trackers on results & strategic priorities.
  • Recruiting call screens to book qualified candidates for other team members.
  • Plays a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing change control processes.
  • Crafts communications with the Agency Owners through newsletters & emails.
  • Coordinates district videos and provides support for the district social media pages and website updates.
  • Will become the district resource on Farmers intranet programs to assist agents in troubleshooting questions.
  • Collaborates with other back-office team members to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values.
  • Establishes and maintains credible, professional relationships with agents, internal business lines, and external vendors.
  • Occasionally provides support to policyholders and facilitates getting those situations into the hands of the appropriate parties.
  • Works closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the firm are being properly executed in accordance to regulatory-based best practices.
  • Coordinates meetings and keeps office location stocked on supplies and resources.

The district office hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm M-F, but for this role, we are flexible on what days of the week or the daily hours. There is opportunity for work flexibility, such as work from home situations once through the probationary period and when Operations Specialist has been established.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent relevant experience
  • Must obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses in the first 90 days.
