Responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for anyone that can multitask, manage a workload under minimal supervision, handle a fast-paced work environment, pay attention to detail, and communicate effectively.

  • Preparing files for mediation, during pre-suit and litigation. This includes compiling production documents and estimates of damages
  • Acting as liaison among all parties including court or other neutrals for scheduling and sharing information, as well as insurance adjusters, experts, and contractors
  • Organizing and managing claim documents, including the creation of spreadsheets
  • Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents and responding to discovery requests
  • Assisting with preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings
  • Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
  • Must be able to schedule depositions, mediation, court deadlines, manage clients, etc.
  • Monitoring compliance with court-imposed deadlines, especially discovery deadlines
  • Initiating complaints, filing motions and discovery, including service of subpoenas and Summons

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Must have experience drafting and proofreading correspondence and pleadings.
  • Must be able to schedule depositions, mediation and court deadlines timely.
  • 3 years of experience as a paralegal.
  • 3 years of experience in personal injury.
  • Must be familiar with the state filing systems.
  • Knowledge of federal filing systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building a case from inception to close.
  • Ability to interreact with clients during their time of need.
  • Determination to get the best results for our clients and to assist the attorney in winning cases.
  • This position is in a professional office setting, Work Remote-No.
  • 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday
  • Spanish Speaking a Plus!
