Fan Controlled Sports + Entertainment is Hiring a Remote Accountant
- Performs general GAAP accounting duties
- Prepares end closing journal entries and balance sheet schedules, including intercompany allocations, depreciation and amortization, and accruals
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
- Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
- Issue invoices per contracted terms
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections to manage AP
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience managing multi-entity organizations
- AP processes and management
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLookups, etc…)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Certify, QuickBooks Online, and Bill.com preferred
- Proven working experience as Accounting Controller with knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Proven financial and business analysis skills, adept at providing management useful data that reflects operating performance, sales, trends, costs, revenue, and expenses
- Basic to intermediate understanding of crypto currencies and NFTs preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to establish rapport and trust with vendors, customers, and employees
- Must be able to work independently in remote environments
- Must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters
- Possess advanced computer proficiency
- Currently, the Finance & Accounting team is made up of 4 people - a CFO, Controller, Sr. Accountant, and Financial Analyst.
- A jackknife team, each role really leans in on other areas to provide support as needed during varying times of the year and seasonal needs.
