Family Medical Center of Georgetown is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Near Georgetown, TX

We are a busy family medical practice looking for a friendly person to work as a Receptionist at our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clinic.

You will greet patients, schedule appointments, answer telephone calls, obtain and verify insurance information. Experience in a medical setting is preferred. We are looking for someone with a pleasant personality. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all tasks to the highest quality standards. Candidate must be able to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and two Saturdays per month from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Hourly pay is dependent on work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as photocopying, and faxing

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role in customer service. Experience in a medical facility setting is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
