Families in Transition is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner Near Manchester, NH

Description

Job Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner will play a key role in the success of the organization by supporting key initiatives to support talent acquisition, performance management, benefits, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating positive relationships between all employees. This position will be responsible for applying business knowledge and HR expertise and will provide a wide range of HR support, coordination, and coaching. Our successful Human Resources Business Partner will act as an employee champion and change agent demonstrating excellent listening and communication skills.

Essential Functions: 

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave of absences, disciplinary matters, performance management, disputes and investigations, recognition, safety and training.
  • Provide support to managers in resolving a variety of complex employee relations issues, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
  • Investigates instances of grievance and violations of policy. Present findings to appropriate management and administer corrective actions as necessary.
  • Utilize one’s solid understanding of HR practices and policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to required pre-employment screenings, safety reporting, mandatory postings, etc.
  • Monitor employee engagement while fostering positive organizational culture. Assist in the administration of and communicating results of employee surveys. 
  • Talent Acquisition responsibilities including recruitment of exempt and non-exempt roles, pre-screening interviews and hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Actively engage with community resources to establish strong relationships for future staffing needs.
  • Backs up and supports the payroll function 
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 3-5 years of Human Resources experience as a generalist.
  • Professional Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) a plus.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in a Non-profit organization preferred
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity

This 32 hours per week role is considered full-time and benefit eligible
