Brief Summary of Purpose:

The Financial Analyst will support Financial Planning and Analysis in all its required areas of functionality. The individual will be a key contributor in supporting the planning process.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in SG&A discussions/analysis as requested by manager
  • Upload actual financial data by cost center to Adaptive Planning
  • Maintain prior period analysis
  • Understand and assist in the development of key business drivers to forecast G&A expenses by cost center based on current membership projections
  • Develop reports to compare actual to forecast and provide key drivers of variances at account level. Provide details at vendor level to support analysis.
  • Use forecasting model as a base in developing annual budget
  • Provide insight to significant budget variances in all cost centers
  • Update quarterly forecast and budget templates
  • Address ad hoc project requests.
  • Take personal accountability for contribution to team and FCHP results.
  • Actively participate and support community events sponsored by FCHP.
  • Demonstrate clear professional standards.
  • Actively seek opportunities for cross training within the FP&A organization.

Qualifications

Education:

BS in Finance/Accounting

Experience:

  • 3-5 years prior experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics; health plan experience preferred
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with superior attention to detail
  • Robust interpersonal skills, effective in working with cross functional team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle and Budgeting Software
  • Experience building models for analytics, trending, forecasting, and budgeting
  • General understanding of financial statements and GAAP accounting rules
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills, can generate concise reports and verbal updates
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
