Falconwood is Hiring a Cyber Security Analyst (CSA) Near Norfolk, VA

Overview

Falconwood is a woman-owned / veteran-owned company providing consultation and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs. We provide expert advice and consultation on a diverse range of IT subjects, focusing on acquisition, cybersecurity, engineering, logistics, and process development.

The Cyber Security Analyst (CSA) shall support United States Fleet Forces (USFF) and subordinate commands with revision and overarching expertise of the entire end-to-end Afloat Assessment and Authorization(A&A) process. The CSA shall provide support for all stages involved during Cyber Security Inspections (CSI), Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI), and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections (CCORI)). These efforts will highlight and track significant physical, policy, and network security issues improving the network security and awareness on Naval networks world-wide. This position requires presence onsite with the client at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) Norfolk, VA for classified tasks.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to USFF and all subordinate commands during all stages of inspections (CSI, CCRI, and CCORI).
  • Collect inspection results and provide follow on reports.
  • Assess inspection statistical data/metrics and conduct analysis of trends.
  • Track and report inspection compliance and analysis of trends related to Navy Fleet and Ashore units to improve Navy scores.
  • Identify areas where commands should focus A&A/Cyber Security (CS) efforts as a result of or in support of inspections.
  • Provide pre- and post-inspection support to include Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) review and interpretation, inspection finding adjudication in Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) and Navy eMASS,
  • Review the Traditional Security STIG Checklist for submarines and update comments for each security check
  • Create a Traditional Security STIG template and SOP to assist the Fleet in the completion of the Traditional Security Checklist artifact in pursuit of their Afloat Site Authorization.
  • Assist the Information Security Systems Manager (ISSM) to obtain information for installed systems
  • Attend RMF Tool Automation Training
  • Attend Q&A sessions with the office of the Navy SCA

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • DOD IAM Workforce Level III IAW DOD 8570
  • Five (5) years’ experience, to include four (4) years of related Information Analyst/Cyber Security and INFOSEC (Information Security) technical experience.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in CS/A&A analysis support in controls analysis, conducting risk assessments, risk mitigation analysis, developing contingency plans.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in/with eMASS.
