Overview
- Starting wage of $15.10 per hour
We are looking for a Culinary Assistant. This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community. This food services schedule includes;
- Casual hours
- Day/Evening shifts

Opened in 2020, the Pillars of Prospect Park is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. The Pillars of Prospect Park features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living and 44 memory care apartments. Two buildings, one six-story and one ten-story, make up this vibrant community. The community encompasses an on-site Child Care Center. Responsibilities/Job Description
- Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
- Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction with their meal service
- Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies
- Assists with meal prep and special events
- Provides kitchen support when needed with dishwashing and cleaning of floors
- Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately
Qualifications
- No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting
- Excellent customer service skills and aptitude, teamwork and positive attitude required
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to interact empathetically and communicate effectively with residents and staff
