Weekend Only Security Maintenance Team Member
Join Fairmount Homes and make a difference serving the elderly! Fairmount Homes is seeking a part time security staff to serve on our security and maintenance team in the following positions :
Hours : 6am - 2pm, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
The weekend only position will be responsible for light maintenance duties, and making security rounds. Must be able to support the Fairmount mission vision and core values.
Able to respond to emergency situations with a calm demeanor and critical thinking skills. Comfortable and willing to assist the residents and visitors as needed.
Security Maintenance Team Member Employment Qualifications : Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be able to read, write and understand English, comply with Corporate Compliance Plan and support the mission and values of Fairmount Homes.
Security Maintenance Team Member Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Conducts inside rounds, including equipment checks, locking / checking doors and windows, checking fire annunciator panel and lights.
Conducts a walk-through in both the Crest View, Wheat Ridge and Farm Crest buildings twice during the night. Calls and alerts team member at Farm Crest beforehand.
2. Conducts outside rounds, including locking buildings and entrances and checking parking lots.
10 : 15 11 : 00 p.m. Monitors arrival / departures of team member at Wheat Ridge team member entrance at shift change.
11 : 00 p.m. Checks that all outside doors are locked on both campuses.
3. Escorts / transports healthcare team member to cottages and Farm Crest; escorts emergency personnel, undertakers and visitors to intended locations, as needed.
4. Communicates regularly with campus supervisor to apprise him / her of any emergency or security-related situations.
5. Promptly evaluates any campus suspicious activity involving persons or property. If appropriate, immediately contacts local police authorities for their intervention.
6. Intervenes in situations of misconduct involving residents, team member or visitors.
7. Responds to campus emergency maintenance calls.
8. Assists with fire drills and responds to fire alarms or other alarms on annunciator panel.
9. Monitors weather conditions and alerts all departments as needed.
10. Performs a variety of light maintenance and housekeeping projects.
11. Treats confidentially all information regarding residents, team member, families, visitors or others.
12. Assists with ice and snow removal.
13. Assists in resident transfers as needed.
14. Performs corrective maintenance on equipment.
15. Performs other miscellaneous duties including receiving or moving supplies and assisting in moving residents possessions.
16. Completes log and reports as required.
17. Adheres to Corporate Compliance Plan.
18. Complies with HIPAA Privacy standards.
19. Performs other duties as required by facility needs.
Compensation details : 19.3-20.75 Hourly Wage
