job purpose: The Specialist will assist in activities regarding the processing and management of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Attention to detail, organization and accuracy are essential skills for this position.

Responsibilities Related to Accounts Payable:

• Process vendor invoices through ERP system
• Reconciliation of vendor statements
• Knowledge of GL coding of vendor invoices and payment requests
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation
• Continuously evaluates work tasks/streams, utilizes current accounting system technology, and researches new technology to facilitate efficient functionality and process improvement
• Perform additional duties or special assignments as assigned or required

Responsibilities related to Accounts Receivable / Order Entry:

• Customer cash application – deduction and credit management
• Customer collections
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation
• Process customer orders and create invoices
• Perform additional duties or special assignments as assigned or required

skills/qualifications required:

• A minimum of 2 years Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable experience required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, and time management.
• Teamwork, collaboration, and ability to flex with the needs of the business required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
