job purpose:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for working independently as well as with various team members to ensure compliance of processes and execution of the Capital Projects. As necessary, this position will provide analytical input, recommend process improvements, and ensure that capital project activity is progressing as planned for a rapidly growing company. The Financial Analyst will also play a critical role in our financial reporting process by efficiently tracking capital expenditure.

responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Capital Projects
    • Support the preparation and development of project master budgets
    • Manage financial models to support the management of project spend and project status. Confirm data integrity of data being used in reports and ad hoc requests
    • Manage the change order process to ensure visibility and traceability of project master budget changes
    • Facilitate regular status meeting with essential parties to ensure transparency of project status and expectations
    • Prepare capital cash flow and interest forecast
    • Partner with internal engineering team to obtain certificate of insurance, lien waivers and other supporting documents from vendors to prepare bank draw package for capital projects
    • Prepare and consolidate supporting documents for bank draw package for large capital projects
    • Work with Account Payable to ensure payment of the approved invoices are charged to appropriate budget code
    • Update invoice and purchase order tracker weekly to track capital expenditure against budget code
  • Various projects and responsibilities as assigned

Other

  • Recommend process improvement and action plans
  • Support cross functional teams to ensure timely execution of the projects
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis as required
  • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as assigned

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA and/or MBA a plus
  • 1-3 years of general accounting or finance experience required
  • Foundational accounting knowledge and financial analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, database software and other applicable accounting and financial software and systems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
  • Ability to build collaborative relationship with cross functional internal and external teams
