TITLE: Housekeeping Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping
SUPERVISOR: Operations Manager/AGM and/or General Manager
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting in running the housekeeping department in an efficient manner within the department budget guidelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist in the hiring, training, counseling, discipline, scheduling and conducting performance reviews of the housekeeping staff
2. Manage the inventory by supervising the purchase of equipment for the department
3. Maintain the department budget checkbook, writing necessary variances
4. Assist with the daily distribution of work assignments. Manage paperwork and administrative requirements
5. Assist in the performance of daily suite inspections to ensure QA standards are met, keeping accurate records for each attendant
6. Responsible for ongoing training and development of room attendants, inspectors and housekeeping aides, under the guidance of the Operations Manager/General Manager
7. Conduct regular inventories to ensure par levels of equipment and supplies are always on hand
8. Develop employee’s attitudes of attentiveness to and anticipation of guest’s needs
9. Communicate with the front desk and other departments to ensure that special requests made by the guests are met
10. Administer the guest ‘Lost and Found’ program. Ensure that staff follows policies relating to the program

11. Notify Operations Manager, AGM or General Manager of any problems with cleaning or equipment.
12. Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver to the maintenance department or designated area in a timely manner
13. Communicate with the sales department and front office to coordinate any meeting room needs
14. Communicate with the front desk any changes in room status 15. Use the L.E.A.R.N Model for all guest recovery incidents that occur
16. Always have a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with our guests
17. Responsible for knowing all hotel emergency procedures
18. Follow all hotel safety guidelines and requirements
19. Responsible for following all hotel quality assurance standards for department
20. Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys 21. Responsible for the proper administration of keys left by guests 22. Accommodate guest special requests courteously.
23. Answer guest questions regarding hotel and local area facilities and services.
24. Carry out any reasonable request by management that I am capable of performing.
