Overview
Fair-Rite Products Corp. is a local manufacturing company, in Wallkill, New York, that has been in business since 1952. We have an excellent opportunity in our Engineering Department for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer. This is a full-time position and includes all Company benefits, including a 401K with Company Match.
Responsibilities
This individual will help to develop new processes and increase plant efficiency. The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will do research, design, and testing to support the needs of our customers. Must be able to use proven engineering principles and practices to design and implement processes for winding, coating and packaging ferrite components.
Will conduct machine shop prototyping, planning, research and development by creating 3D models of parts and prototypes using Solidworks software. Will also generate 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs. Will work with our sales department to provide part quotes for customers
Qualifications
This position requires a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or Mechatronic Engineering and a minimum of 2 years related experience. Must be able to read and understand blue prints and drawings. Have a working knowledge of mechanical and electrical product specifications, assembly drawings and schematics. An understanding of electrical properties and test methods is required. The preferred candidate will also have familiarity with manual and automated winding processes, soldering and tinning processes, coating processes and packaging (i.e. Tape and Reel, etc.)
