FACE FOUNDRIÉ is Hiring a Salon Manager Near Charleston, SC

We are seeking an experienced Salon General Manager to manage the King Street location for FACE

FOUNDRIE, a new franchise in the focused facial bar category. The Charleston King Street location

is the first of several we are opening in the Charleston market and a successful candidate will have

the opportunity to move into a regional role.

The ideal candidate is motivated, hardworking, and positive, with a proven track record for meeting

and exceeding salon sales through staff recruiting, productivity development and service

promotions. The General Manager is responsible for creating, cultivating, and promoting an

environment that maintains and exceeds standards of excellence in guest services, client retention

skills, staff technical proficiency, and professional recommendations. The General Manager reports

to the franchise owner, and they serve as the primary contact for all salon personnel. Your skills,

experience and talents as a General Manager will be essential to lead by example.

The franchise owner is an experienced digital media executive and franchise entrepreneur, with 5

locations across two franchise brands opened nationally, and has a successful history of mentoring

her employees for success.

RESPONSIBILIITES

  • The General Manager is responsible for creating an environment that maintains and exceeds standards of excellence in guest services, client retention skills, staff technical proficiency, and professional recommendations.
  • The General Manager reports to the owner, and they serve as the primary contact for all salon personnel.
  • Your skills, experience & talents as a General Manager will be essential to lead by example.
  • Demonstrates high standards for customer service, image standards, and consistently executes

FACE FOUNDRIÉ expectations.

  • Meets or exceeds financial metrics including service revenue, average ticket, guest count, guest retention, rebooking, membership sales, retail revenue, retention/turnover, and contribution goals.
  • Can identify opportunities for growth within staffing for growth, average ticket and rebooking.
  • Responsible for performing services on guests and leading by example.
  • Leads through teaching employees and growing their productivity, has a clear vision of individual, team, and/or personal goals.
  • Has coaching and mentoring skills and can verbalize the steps taken to achieve those goals.
  • Can identify when coaching vs. mentoring is needed.
  • Responsible for identifying the skill development needed for each staff member and determining the right resource, including themselves, to develop the skill.
  • Ensures all technical product training classes are attended.
  • Conducts 90-day probationary reviews for all new staff.
  • Responsible for placing and checking in supply orders timely and within budget while being cautious not to run out of supplies needed to service guests.
  • Conducts verbal and technical interviews, able to identify appropriate talents needed for salon growth.
  • Assists with social media and marketing events.
  • Helps forecast sales, growth trajectories and expansion plans.

The ideal candidate has the following characteristics, skills and or qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of significant experience in Salon Management of all personnel including (but not limited to) recruitment, training, product knowledge and skills development, loss prevention knowledge, performance management, safety, recognition, and legal compliance.
  • Strong drive and self-directed. Identify and execute on opportunities with limited oversight.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills. Expresses ideas and thoughts both verbally and in written form with the owner and team members. Exhibits good listening and comprehension. Keeps others properly informed, selects and uses appropriate communication methods based upon the audience.
  • Strong organizational skills. Plans for deadlines and projects, allocates resources and effectively communicates across the organization.
  • Critical Thinking. Open-minded, gathers relevant information, raises questions, and communicates effectively regarding problems and solutions.
  • Comfort with Technology. Experience / proficiency in Google-Suite, Microsoft products, retail POS systems and social media platforms.
  • Located in Charleston Area with flexibility to visit Minneapolis for training as needed.

Job Types: Full-Time Hourly or Salary Based on experience (plus bonuses on sales and goals)

Availability: Some Nights and Weekends are required

Experience: Salon Manager 3 year (preferred) - Esthetics Experience 3-5 years (preferred, not

required)
