Optometric Technicians are responsible for assisting the Optometrist by documenting patient information into the Electronic Health Record as well as taking ocular measurements and administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician. 

Our Top Candidate will bring at least one year of verifiable experience working in an ophthalmology practice as an Ophthalmic Technician. Candidates possessing a COA or COT are highly preferred. 

**Eyecare Services Partners will now only consider candidates who can verify prior to hire that they either have been fully vaccinated against the Covid 19 virus or have started the vaccine process by having their initial dose before starting in their new position and are committed to completing that process within 30 days of starting work. Exemptions for medical and religious concerns will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systems
  • Measuring visual acuities, interocular pressures, confrontational fields, EOMS, and more
  • Performing external slit lamp examination and administering eye drops
  • Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination
  • Assist with stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness of patient exams room and other administrative or clinical duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a work up position within an optometric practice is preferred
  • Must be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of business
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrate superior computer skills
  • Highly energetic with positive attitude
  • Must be able to walk and stand for eight hours
  • Must be able to type or write legibly in a dimly-lit setting
