Solera is on the hunt for a DevOps Engineer to bridge the gap between our engineering and IT organizations. Someone who is highly motivated that is wired with a team-first attitude, has no problem rolling up their sleeves to execute their missions, and can modulate between leading and following as needed. You will serve as the DevOps Engineer to boost collaboration between engineering and IT with a strong focus on CI/CD practices across all Explore products. What You’ll Be Doing We believe in providing clarity and focus to what our employees are responsible for – their mission. The missions for this role are: · Owner of CI/CD processes and tooling within Explore. · Establish and enforce software delivery and operation guidelines. · Work with development teams to modernize CI/CD practices with focus on quicker time to market. · Triage and resolve build/deploy issues. · Train and mentor Explore development team on CI/CD best practices and standards. · Provide guidance and coaching for maintaining and supporting production applications. · Implement and maintain static code analysis tools (SonarQube) ensuring any released code is scanned. · Assist with release management as required to ensure on-time delivery with CAB approval. · Provide feedback to Product, IT, and Engineering leaders as required. Additional responsibilities of the role include: · Maintain and champion a team culture, help employees thrive in an inclusive and collaborative environment. · Create and update documentation to support delivery and operation efforts. · Engage in Agile ceremonies including planning, grooming, and team retrospectives. · Work with IT Team to ensure appropriate system monitoring tools are in place. · Effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of different audiences. Are You Qualified? · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. · Minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps related role. · Skilled in at least one System Programming Language (i.e. Python, Powershell, Bash) · Experience creating build and deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps · Experience with monitoring and observability tools · In-depth understanding of technology and IT tools and methods applicable to the applications development area. · Understanding of common infrastructure technologies required to support on-premises SaaS products. · Experience in application security and OWASP principles. · Solid understanding of different SDLC methodologies, processes and practices. · Familiar with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools.
