We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Denver. CO or Minneapolis, MN.
Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, analyzes and modifies systems for various applications for solutions supporting Operations projects to support the client.
- Defines system objectives and prepares system design specifications.
- Responsible for interface problem solving.
- Responsible for gathering analyzing client business requirements in order to identify and solve problems.
- Acts as communication liaison between business and IT teams.
Skills
Required:
- Strong business analysis skills including requirements, user stories, process flows, test coordination, & change control coordination
- Agile experience with the ability to function in a dual capacity as a BA and a scrum master
- Geospatial systems experience (Smallworld, ESRI and related types of applications that leverage GIS data, including Field Tech systems)
- Strong communicator with the ability to drive projects forward
Preferred:
- Utility, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing operations experience
- Business Requirements
- Business Processes
- Technical Writing
- Business Case Preparation
- Testing-Functionality
- Business Process Mapping
Experience
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience, with large-scale distributed information technology projects.
- Experience with application development, in place technical upgrades of COTS applications
- Proven experience managing requirements specification, business process engineering, testing and system deployment.
Preferred:
- Experience with geospatial, SCADA, and DCS projects.
- Proven experience on a project with a large number of impacted users, (i.e., at least 500 users) and managing the associated change management.
- Utility or energy industry experience preferred o Natural Gas business experience preferred
- Background and experience in the energy and utility sectors preferred.
- Experience in natural gas SCADA and DCS systems is a plus.
- Strong Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering
- Experience in Energy or Utilities, specifically in Natural Gas
- Experience with Gas SCADA and DCS
