We are seeking a Senior Project Accountant to enhance, lead, and support the Accounting Department.

Job Overview

The candidate will establish (as needed) and oversee the planning, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for all project. Also responsible for monitoring all costs (incurred and projected) associated with a contract to ensure compliance against the contract and GAMA-1 policies. Ensures timely, accurate, and relevant financial information is made available to the Program Manager and GAMA-1, coordinating with other projects and functions as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Support the final implementation stages of Costpoint in to Operations
• Establish and create new processes to improve financial efficiency in the areas of Invoices, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Purchase Orders
• Report analysis and findings to the management team
• Project setup in Deltek Cost Point and maintain project information in Cost Point such Contract/Funded values, period of performance, revenue/billing formulas, and employee workforce
• Prepare Estimates to Complete and Estimates at Complete for work orders.
• Prepare contract budgets and quarterly contract forecast updates

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Costpoint
• Ability to prioritize and multitask

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years’ related experience preferred
