Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Corporate Controller to help support our continued growth. This person will take the lead role in our financial reporting process by ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of our consolidated financial results and implementing accounting best practices and policies across our regions.

We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented problem solver who is excited about rolling up their sleeves in an entrepreneurial and high-growth environment. You should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial management principles and extensive experience in a similar role. A first-class Corporate Controller will be someone whose expertise translates into optimized financial operations and increased profitability. The Controller will report directly to the President and will work closely with department heads and regional leadership across the company. This is a high-profile role poised for growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting functions
• Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff
• Implement and maintain consistent accounting policies across regions in compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end accounting closes for company
• Prepare consolidated financial reports for company
• Identify and analyze trends that require additional review or action
• Project manage audit and tax work for the company
• Perform internal audits and financial risk assessments, as well as facilitate intervention strategies
• Review journal entries and monthly account reconciliation
• Ensure timely and accurate billing, invoicing, expenses, and reimbursements
• Maintain fixed asset records
• Lead and/or assist organization-wide initiatives (system migrations, improving processes & controls, compliance with accounting guidelines, metrics tracking, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• 5 years of finance/accounting experience with increasing responsibility
• 3 years of staff management experience
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience completing financial audits and tax requirements / deliverables
• Superb organizational and time management abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communicator with ability to work across all levels of the organization

Preferred

• CPA or CFA certification
• Public accounting experience
• Private equity or M&A experience
