Description

Summary/Objective: This position supports the VP, Assistant Director of Operations, and the Operations Team by executing processes to maintain operational efficiency and excellence. The Operations Supervisor continually strives to improve workflow, procedures, and customer service both internally and externally. Required hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 

Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Primary back-up to the Assistant Director of Operations who is responsible for the Deposit Operations team. Supervises daily responsibilities for support of the deposit functions of the Bank, Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Wire Activity, account and general ledger reconciliations, customer service and online banking, cash management, and debit card support.
  • Provides backup support to the Deposit Operations team on daily job duties as needed due to absences, vacations, or unexpected workload situations, and provides support to the team to troubleshoot issues or answer questions as they arise.
  • Builds internal and external relationships through exceptional problem solving, ownership, and follow-through. Handles escalated client issues and disputes. Provides a high level of personalized service support to key client and strategic relationships within the bank.
  • Provides and promotes first class customer service through coaching and training opportunities to staff, assisting with staff to identify priorities and continued workflow efficiencies.
  • Assists and provides guidance with all aspects of ACH. Enforces updated rules and regulations regarding ACH.
  • Manages procedural updates and adherence to applicable state and federal regulatory compliance related issues.
  • Attends training as required by Exchange Bank as well as support the overall compliance program by complying with all laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position may require long periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must also have the ability to stoop, bend and squat in order to fulfill physical demands.

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3 - 5 years of financial institution experience.
  • Proven ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting established deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office Tools, and the Bank’s current software system.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve issues making sound judgments.
  • Motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • General knowledge of basic banking principles.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from any college or university.
  • 3 - 5 years of bank operations experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and effectively coach and develop employee’s skills to maximize individual and team performance.
