Job Title: Sr Project Manager

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Location: in order of preference: Dallas, TX, Fort Worth, PA, Greenville, SC

Primary Function

The Senior Project Manager is a hands-on position responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of multiple complex projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. The Senior Project Manager applies professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, scope and quality to ensure the project objectives are met for the business and within technology.

Principal Duties

• Develop high-level and detailed cross-team project plans
• Ensure scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders; Responsible to thoroughly understand and communicate stakeholder requirements
• Identify and track key project milestones and baseline the critical path
• Monitor and communicate the progress of project delivery and ensure timely and effective communication of project status in terms of scope, resources, schedule and cost
• Establish clear ownership for project tasks
• Track and manage critical project risks, issues, decisions, constraints and dependencies
• Proactively anticipates project risks and issues and ensure adequate response strategies are put in place to ensure delivery is not compromised
• Ensure all systems of record for project reporting are kept current
• Ensure effective change control procedures and processes are efficiently used to maintain control of scope, resources, schedule and budget

• Review all estimates from cross-team leaders, identify gaps and dependencies and actively seek clarification/verification as appropriate to create a comprehensive end-to-end project plan
• Negotiate and influence cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the course of the project life cycle
• Lead and work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Facilitate post implementation reviews and ensure lessons learned are carried forward appropriately.

• Ability to travel ~5%

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• PMP Certification (Desired)
• Project Manager - 3 to 6 years of project management experience leading projects end to end
• Experience with working with medium-large IT Projects, mortgage experience is not necessary
