EwingCole is Hiring a Human Resources Intern (Part-Time) Near Berwyn, PA

Description

EwingCole is a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm with offices across the country. Our multi-disciplinary practice is built on the core values of professional excellence, design quality and collaboration.

We are seeking a part-time Human Resources Intern to join our Berwyn office. The Human Resource Intern will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and detail oriented HR student.

This is a temporary position (8-12 hours per week) in-person. There may be occasional travel to the Philadelphia office.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation while ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all human resources information.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff.
  • Assists with career fair coordination, which may include contacting universities, packing up and sending out materials, reminding attendees, etc.
  • Schedules interviews and greet candidates upon arrival.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Prepare materials for new hires, including first-day paperwork and new hire swag bags.
  • Assist with rewards and recognition initiatives, including preparation of anniversary gifts.
  • Provides support to the HR department.
  • Assists with planning and execution of HR initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Prior HR internship experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of employment laws.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
