Job Summary:

Evolve Treatment Centers is hiring a DBT Primary Therapist to join our team at our comprehensive DBT residential treatment facility for adolescents! When it opened in 2016, Evolve's DBT Program was the first residential comprehensive DBT program for teens in California and remains one of the few in the country today. In addition, this program also stands out as one of the few such programs to accept clients of all gender expressions and work with families who rely on private insurance to fund treatment. At Evolve, we believe that DBT should be accessible, affordable, and available to teens of all backgrounds and experiences. Our clinical team specializes in DBT and has received intensive training through Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan’s premiere DBT training institute. Candidates with experience on a DBT team and/or intensive DBT training are preferred. Candidates with a strong dedication to evidence-based treatment, completing intensive DBT training, and providing comprehensive DBT are also encouraged to apply. Intensive training in DBT and ongoing mentorship would be provided. The ideal candidate is experienced, dedicated, knows how to take initiative, maintains appropriate boundaries, and can stay calm in stressful situations. We are looking for Therapists that enjoy working with adolescents and families and is flexible and willing to adjust to the ever-changing nature of adolescent treatment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain a caseload of approximately 3 clients (including individual and family sessions) 
• Facilitate individual and family sessions that adhere to DBT principles and utilize core treatment strategies 
• Complete all necessary documentation on time in EMR 
• Facilitate weekly DBT Skills Training groups 
• Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings and present cases to clinical team 
• Complete Biopsychosocial Assessments upon admission 
• Coordinate after-care with parents and Discharge Coordinator 
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team on client matters 
• Participation in a weekly DBT Consultation Team meeting

Requirements

 Qualifications: 

• Currently licensed (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) OR registered as an associate (AMFT, ASW, or APCC). 
• Dedication to providing DBT adherently, as designed by Marsha Linehan 
• Availability to be on-call during evenings and every other weekends 
• Must be able to pass a Live Scan background check 
• Exceptional clinical judgment 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to think flexibly and remain regulated during intense situations 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Foundational or intensive training in DBT provided by Behavioral Tech or another reputable DBT trainer 
• Experience working as part of a comprehensive DBT team]
