Title: Claim Assistant Company: Everest Reinsurance Company Job Category: Claims Job Description: Everest Global Services, Inc., a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd., is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Claim Assistant for our Reinsurance Claim Department headquartered in Miami. This position is part of a team responsible for the operational support of the Reinsurance Claim Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the critical internal controls applicable to Claim and to support the Claim Technical staff with the handling of claim files. This position will be based in our Miami office with a flexible, hybrid schedule of working up to two days remote each week. What You’ll Do Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Receiving, indexing and distribution of claim correspondence, in all formats, to the appropriate parties Processing payments and other financial transactions Receiving new losses, verifying accuracy of information via coverage and completing data entry of initial file setup Performing quality review analysis of claim data for accuracy in accordance with established procedures and internal controls Document management and entering data in various reinsurance claim systems Providing operational support to Claim management, Claim technical staff and our internal and external customers What you will need College Degree a plus Work experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry is a plus Solid organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) required Proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required Familiarity with electronic document management applications (OnBase, Image Right, SharePoint, etc.) is a plus #LI-Hybrid #LI-KG1 Type: Regular Time Type: Full time Primary Location: Miami, FL Additional Locations: COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate: For employees working in the New York City office, Everest requires all individuals hired into this position to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination prior to commencement of employment, unless the Company has granted an exemption.
