To support this, we are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for our Warren, New Jersey headquarters. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Review daily cash receipts and apply to premium and deductibles. Reconcile the agency and direct bill deposit suspense accounts monthly and distribute to other departments. Clear transactions belonging to the unit, as well as follow-up on the status of aged items belonging to other departments. Review daily cash report, reconcile, and prepare intercompany transfers. Generate the monthly direct bill commission process, reconcile, and post. Prepare vouchers for payment and distribute agent statements. Prepare journal entries using the PeopleSoft Ledger system. Review emails received in the cash unit’s mailbox and respond accordingly. Preparation of documents to demonstrate compliance with SOX key controls. Review current processes and systems. Recommend upgrades or alternative solutions for improvement in efficiency to ensure long-term sustainability Provide excellent service to all internal and external stakeholders Qualifications, Education & Experience: The successful candidate should have a BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, or business Supervisory experience preferred as you would be managing two analysts.
