Our own patented SmartPower technology maximizes existing building infrastructures by intelligently allocating power where and when needed. We can install 15 more charging stations for multi-dwelling units and commercial fleets while eliminating expensive infrastructure additions. In short, we can install more charging stations at a fraction of the cost to our customers, EV owners and operators no longer have to experience the wait, and we further our mission to make EV adoption even more of a possibility for everyone! 

Our Financial Analyst

Will work closely with various partners including Marketing, Finance, and Accounting teams to address challenges that directly impact EverCharge's financial metrics. The successful candidate will enhance existing reports, and build new models that provide actionable insights to the business. 

Responsibilities:

  • FP&A:
    • Lead all aspects of modeling and forecasting (revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, etc.) in our financial model
    • Analyze KPIs, and metrics, and maintain/analyze complex data based on different categories such as product mix, sales channel, and sales region 
    • Creating a NetSuite dashboard and managing revenue forecasts through communicating with the Sales Team 
    • Gross margin profitability analysis for different product types 
    • Creating ad-hoc reports as needed by the Company. 
  • Budgeting: 
    • Revenue and GM by department 
    • Expenses by Department 
    • Integrating budget into NetSuite (ERP system)
    • Create a budget by the department for EverCharge in a format that can be uploaded into NetSuite
    • Developing and providing monthly forecasts, tracking actual spending, and explaining significant budget variances
    • Own the annual budget, which is forecasted as needed (usually twice per year) including:
    • Implement automated budgeting software as a Key Project once we have a working methodology/system 
  • Month End Process and Reporting:
    • Handling all Revenue and COGS accounts in the Income Statement
    • Leading internal Budget versus actual reviews at a departmental level 
    • Owning the month end reporting package and reporting model 

Success factors for this position after Year 1 would include major points such as: 

  • Forecasting and Budgeting
    • Create a forecasting and budgeting process for EverCharge and execute it into NetSuite
    • Clean up current data as needed to be able to fit into the created budget model
    • Understand EverCharge’s business drivers and KPIs, and drive increased forecasting accuracy 
  • Modeling 
    • Understand the current model and add functions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the model
    • Managing the drivers and updating the model on a monthly basis as a part of the reporting function 
  • Month End
    • Executing all month-end processes as needed and leading the review process internally within the Finance Department 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field 
  • 3 years of experience in a related role
  • Proactive, ‘self-starter’ mindset and desire to hold ownership of work product
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and analysis
  • Experience with creating presentation materials at the executive level 
  • Basic knowledge of the principles, concepts, and practices of accounting
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Willingness to work with others 
  • Technical skills: ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, etc. 
  • NetSuite experience 100% necessary 
  • Advanced Excel skills a must
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
