Education Requirements

Qualified applicants will have completed an accredited graduate degree program at the Education Specialist (Ed.S.) or higher requiring a minimum of 60 graduate semester hours of study and a 1200 hour supervised internship in School Psychology, with a minimum of 600 hours in a school setting.

Certification/Licensure Requirements

Qualified applicants will hold or be eligible to hold a valid Oregon School Psychologist license issued by the Oregon Department of Education. School Psychologists who hold the National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) in addition to the required state licensure are encouraged to apply. Current authorization to work in the United States and completion of a criminal record check are also required.

  • Successful candidate shall demonstrate proficiency to communicate clearly and appropriately verbally and in writing in English. Bilingual a plus, but not required.
  • Meet the District minimum physical requirements, basic skills, and/or health standards for the position, including the recent vaccine mandate.
  • If you are not vaccinated against COVID-19, we will be unable to offer you the position unless you have a documented medical or religious exemption.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: School Psychologists support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health by means of problem solving, assessment, data-based decision making and the delivery of evidenced-based interventions. School psychologists collaborate and consult with educators, families and other professionals to help create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments for all students. They prepare documentation (i.e. evaluations, observations, contact with parents, teachers and other professionals) for the purpose of providing written support, developing recommendations and/or conveying information. Full Job Description Available Here

SALARY: Salary and placement will be in accordance with the District's salary schedule for licensed employees for the 2023/2024 school year. (Current schedule for full time is $53,832,-$91,740) Dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts.
