Shipping Receiving/Driver

Description Essex Industries (www.essexind.com) is seeking two (2) individuals to fill roles within the Shipping/Receiving Department. Essex Huntington Beach is a growing manufacturer of CNC machined components supplying the aerospace and medical industries. These positions will require individuals with computer literacy, attention to detail, and the ability to operate the delivery van and fork trucks on a daily basis.

**Description**

* Perform Shipping, Receiving, Delivery, and Inventory daily departmental activities.

* Load/ Unload trucks using fork truck, pallet jack, and/or hand truck as needed and according to all safety regulations.

* Verify, count, and record material to ensure that correct number was accurately shipped/received against packing lists.

* Apply and record product identification and traceability of incoming products.

* Enter and maintain transactions from Purchase Orders, Work Orders, and Sales Orders in inventory management system verifying price, quantities, and applicable specifications.

* Inventory control activities related to raw material and finished goods. Including loading/unloading, cycle counts, and issuing stock to work orders and shipping documents.

* Prepare shipments to customers and suppliers, including completing required paperwork/ documentation, packing and labeling.

* Creating shippers, UPS and FedEx package labels, as well of Bills of Lading for incoming and outgoing materials.

* Drives delivery van as needed throughout the day to and from customer and vendor sites.

* Collect and properly tracking all paperwork while making specified deliveries in a timely and courteous manner.

* Interface with customers and vendors daily

* Perform other duties as assigned

* Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

* 2-3 years of experience.

* Demonstrated high-level of customer focus.

* Must have valid US driver's license with Class E certification.

* Minimum of 1-year experience as delivery driver required.

* Computer proficient and experience with ERP/MRP Systems.

* Familiarity with processing and maintaining documents according to AS9100 and ISO9001.

* Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs

* Forklift experience or ability to complete certification

* Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Must communicate and interact with all employees, customers, vendors and others in a courteous, professional manner.
