Position: Talent Acquisition Recruiter

Location: Bryn Mawr, PA

ESF (Education, Sport, and Fun) features award-winning camp programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, and Florida for people of all ages. ESF is considered one of the country's leading camping companies and people developers.

We are hiring a full time Talent Acquisition Recruiter that will be responsible for the high-volume sourcing and recruiting of seasonal team members (Counselors, Coaches, Teachers, Lifeguards, Production Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Nurses, Leadership, etc.) to work at multiple day camps throughout PA, NJ, NY, CT, and MD.

Position Scope Factors:

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is employed on a year-round basis in Bryn Mawr, PA and performs full lifecycle recruitment responsibilities for ESF Camps with potential cross over to Pro-Team Sports Programs including baseball camps with the Philadelphia Phillies, basketball camps with the Philadelphia 76ers as well as the Brooklyn Nets, and BOLD Summers our pre-college academic program.

Position Objective/Purpose:

We are seeking motivated team members who believe deeply in the organization's mission and who display strong organizational skills and a keen eye for talent. This individual is responsible for implementing ESF's high volume sourcing and recruitment processes in order to help staff our summer camps. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter must be capable of building positive relationships with candidates, schools, and organizations in order develop a robust pipeline of educator candidates. The Talent Acquisition Recruiter must complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining the professional standards of ESF.

Talent Acquisition Recruiter Job Responsibilities (Year-Round):

  • Strategically source, recruit, and onboard seasonal team members (Counselors, Coaches, Teachers, Lifeguards, Production Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Nurses, Leadership, etc.) to work at multiple day and overnight camps for children ages 3 to 15 in PA, NJ, CT, MD, and NY.
  • Utilize innovative sourcing techniques (LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to recruit and retain top talent
  • Implement a strategic recruitment plan to ensure adequate staffing across multiple sites, both in days camps AND residential programs.
  • Conduct background checks and reference checks for new hires
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges/universities to attract future educators for seasonal positions.
  • Partner with elementary, middle, and high schools and third-party organizations to recruit applicants
  • Share ESF job opportunities with students and teachers through referrals, online postings, information tables and in-class presentations
  • Represent ESF at recruiting and networking events (occasional nights and weekends)
  • Utilize applicant tracking system to manage applicant's workflows and new hire paperwork
  • Run metrics reports and keyword searches in applicant tracking system
  • Work closely with internal departments (Finance, Marketing, Admissions, Customer Engagement, and Operations), Site Directors and vendors
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience performing high-volume and full lifecycle recruiting
  • Prior experience recruiting for a service, education or sports-focused organization is preferred
  • Prior experience recruiting day and residential staff for camps, athletics, or educational purposes preferred.
  • Sports knowledge and/or prior experience playing sports preferred
  • Previous experience recruiting candidates using social media
  • Applicant tracking experience required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Human Resources, Education or a related concentration preferred

Reporting Relationship:

  • Reports directly to the Regional Director (also takes direction from the Chief Experience Officer and CEO)

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Year-round position
  • Minimum 40 hours per week during the non-peak season; minimum 45-50 hours per week during peak season
  • Travel to local ESF sites and schools for interviews, events, and training
