Junior Business Intelligence Developer eScholar - Remote eScholar is looking for an exceptional talent to become an integral member of our Professional Services team as a Junior Business Intelligence Developer. In this role, you will focus on three areas: Data Analytics, Data Visualizations and Data Integration. What your impact will be: Work with our Technical Business Analysts, customers & data source system experts to understand reporting needs, underlying source data and associated business rules Using ETL tools and/or SQL, develop data extract routines from a variety of disparate data sources and conform them to the eScholar Data Integration Template format Develop data visualizations using a variety of applications such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, and others. Participate in functional and technical design sessions Gather end-user requirements for data dissemination and reporting Use various applications to analyze source system data and identify data quality issues and anomalies that will need to be corrected and/or handled in ETL routines What we are looking for: Proficient in SQL Complete or progressing in an AA or a BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field Willingness and ability to learn new tools and concepts Experience with Data Integration concepts and development using Microsoft SSIS, AWS Glue/Databrew, Python or others Experience with AWS Quicksight, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other business intelligence platforms. Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-hosted applications Attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently Proficient in MS Office What will help you stand out: Experience with JavaScript, Python, CSS, and others Experience with version control and functional testing Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Oracle Experience creating technical documentation Some prior experience with the education sector through internships Experience with AWS or Azure cloud-hosted applications
