The Opportunity: The Next-Generation ERAU Applied Research (NEAR) lab, located within the Center for Aerospace Resilience, is a research and development (R&D) facility working with the aerospace and aviation industries on proof of concept, rapid prototyping, quality assurance, modeling and simulation, data mining, and various other related R&D projects. We are looking for a software engineer to help us contribute to the future of the aviation and aerospace. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience developing web-based application frontend and/or backend with Typescript, React, Node, Python Comfortable working in Ubuntu or similar Linux distros Ability to work as part of a team, provide feedback, define goals, and deliver on a schedule Comfortable interacting with team members and industry partners over remote meeting software, messaging systems, email, issue trackers, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud and hybrid-cloud services Information security, risk analysis, DevOps automation Programming experience with C , Java, Rust The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University we know today is the product of a long and prestigious history.
