The Human Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality and safety of the ministry and Epworth assets through the appropriate management of human capital. Building and implementing a recruitment and selection process that attracts the highest level of direct care and management employees to Epworth.
The Human Resources Manager coordinates the necessary employee paperwork and information for personnel files and legal expectations while ensuring all necessary data is collected and organized for DSS licensing, inspections, and contracts, in addition to PQI and accreditation expectations. Serves as a resource to supervisors during hiring, training and termination processes and a knowledge base of employment law to protect Epworth's clients, assets, and employees. The Human Resources Manager Responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs.
The Human Resources Manager will maintain confidentiality according to all Epworth policies and procedures. The Human Resources Manager must understand and follow personnel policies and practices as outlined in the ECH Policy and Procedure Manual and in compliance with all state agency regulations as well as those outlined in COA and the Evidence Based Practice Models. Participate as appropriate in the PQI process as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a BS in a related field and 5 years' experience in HR field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated healthy interpersonal skills
• Must be able to pass standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry
• Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church
REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Must possess excellent communication skills in written and verbal form. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills resulting in the ability to interact with all levels of management and employees. Proficiency with various software programs.
