A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAYROLL TAX SPECIALIST

As a Payroll Tax Specialist, you assist in the accurate and timely filing of tax payments and respond to notices, inquiries, and other correspondence from various taxing authorities. You research and resolve client issues with agencies through amended returns. Additionally, you perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks as assigned. In short, you perform all tasks required to ensure accurate and timely reporting of wages and payroll taxes.

You are sure to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Utilizing your exceptional attention to detail, you keep up to date on changes in wage and tax laws. Whether you are in the office or choose the work-from-home option, you work hard to ensure accurate and timely tax payments to agencies. You offer clerical and filing support whenever it is needed. Additionally, you assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual return filing processes. You love that you are part of a hardworking and supportive team and enjoy doing your part to add to that positive atmosphere!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PAYROLL TAX SPECIALIST

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related area of study
• 2 years of experience in the tax accounting field
• Understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
• Advanced skills in MS Office, data entry, and office equipment

WORK SCHEDULE
