Description

The Human Resources Director will be a key member of our growing company. As an accomplished leader, she/he will drive HR-related strategy and execution to achieve specific business results. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for building and strengthening the overall company culture, attracting, developing, inspiring, and retaining talent and acting to advise the broader management and Executive Committee. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented, results driven and hands-on leader with the ability to effectively align talent to need. The Human Resources Director reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Operations

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute organizational and people-related strategy in partnership with leaders across organization
  • Increase leadership effectiveness in developing their people and creating a high performing culture by partnering on all aspects of leadership development, people management, and employee engagement.
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, data analysis, compensation and rewards, employee relations, learning and development, talent reviews, recognition programs, and org design & development.
  • Work cross-functionally and assist staff at many levels in optimizing the performance of their teams and resolving issues
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers regarding HR practices, HRIS systems, employee relations, development etc.
  • In person support of the production facility located in Morrisville, NC and our office space in Cary, NC.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 10-12 years of prior work experience in Human Resources
  • Preferred experience in life science industry
  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to align business needs with HR support and solutions to move the business forward in a growing and changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal awareness and the ability to effectively build and sustain strong partnerships with trust and credibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business or a related field required.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and detail orientated individual with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the HR practices of a fast paced, dynamic and lean environment.
  • Knowledge of employee relations principles, practices, methods, and programs.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, regulations, procedures, and standards; maintains confidentiality of sensitive data and information.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and ATS.
